Well, my friend, this is the place for you. The little designer in me was all lit up! Chip and Joanna did exactly what they sat out to do in creating a place of gathering, shopping, and rejuvenation.
Are you planning a trip to Texas? If any of the above callouts speak to you make sure to schedule a day in Waco to visit all things, Magnolia. Maybe you specifically want to visit Magnolia and need some other ideas to round out your trip. Hang in here until the end and I will give you some other great things to visit close by in central Texas.
I visited The Silos on a girl’s trip with my mom and sister, but this would be a great destination for couples or families! This is a year-round destination. Though, personally, I would avoid the dead heat of summer. Southern heat IYKYK, am I right?
Magnolia Table

Is this about the experience or the food? Well, both! It is an experience to dine at Magnolia Table. The dinner is not located in walking distance from The Silos, but it is just a short drive from them.
Don’t let the wait times scare you. There is a beautiful courtyard that you can order a craft coffee. Then sit back and catch up with your travel companions.
We got there around 11 am and were told it would be a 45 minute wait. We only had to wait maybe 15 minutes. Not bad.
To note, this was on a Tuesday morning in October. If you are going at higher traffic times plan to make a reservation on their website using Open Table. Don’t forget to plan to get there early enough to spend some time in the courtyard. It’s all part of the experience.
The Magnolia Table is a breakfast and lunch diner. The design inside is, as you would guess, impeccable. The food is delicious. Think southern farmhouse style breakfast. Although there are soups, salads, and sandwiches for lunch if you are not a big breakfast fan.
My favorite thing that I got there was seasonal pumpkin spice donut holes drizzled with yummy goodness. Yeah, I’m drooling just typing that out. For my main course, I got the Farm Breakfast, and it also didn’t disappoint.
If you are looking for one of their signature dishes that everyone raves about then try the biscuits with strawberry jam. Very tasty!
Even if it is a long wait make sure not to skip out on this one! Plan ahead.
Open from 7 am – 3 pm Monday thru Saturday.
The Silos at Magnolia Market

There is so much goodness here. I’m going to break it down into bite size nuggets for you. Sound good?
Silos Baking Co.
All this girl talks about is food! I mean guilty BUT the reason I wanted to mention this first is that the Silos Bakery will be the biggest obstacle as far as wait time. If you arrive early and there is no line you might want to jump on in there.
If you were like us and came straight from Magnolia Table and saved no room, then the later you wait in the day the better the lines get.
We got super lucky and jumped in when there was no line around 4:30pm.
Suggestions for this delicious, sweet treat establishment? Your favorite flavor cupcake and a melt in your mouth oatmeal cream pie. Yes I said AND, girl I got you, save it for later. You will not regret this choice! I did not try the cinnamon buns but they smelled amazing and so I’m told, often sell out!
The Magnolia Market
The main event, yep all the feels! Like I mentioned before if you love to walk around Pottery Barn, West Elm, Crate and Barrel, or any other luxury home décor store. You will love The Magnolia Market.
Not only does it have beautiful pieces to style your home but the actual store, in true Joanna style, gives you all the modern farmhouse feels. Often replicated never duplicated!
The store scent and lighting was spot on making you instantly feel warm and cozy. The fall season elements were timeless. If you couldn’t tell I was having my own designer lovefest. Thank you, Joanna, for all the goodness. You’re art matters!
I especially loved the lower half of the store where you could sift through Joanna’s antique finds. Antiquing was a favorite hobby of mine pre-kiddos. Hopefully one day again!
The Silos
Not easy to miss. These are a rustic backdrop to beautiful green lawns where you can lounge and play. A perfect location to let the kiddos run amuck. Outlined with every kind of food truck imaginable. Hanging out on the lawn could be an all-day family event easily.
On the opposite side of the silos there is a beautiful garden that is a must see. It is home to the Magnolia Seed + Supply. Even in October the gardens were full of greenery and colorful flowers.
Then there is the wiffle ball field. Giving you the retro vibes of an old baseball stadium. Another area the kids will surely love. Thanks Chip for this vision.
Shops At The Silos
This area is to the back of the grounds. It has a beautiful old Church that Chip and Joanna moved and restored to the site. I’m a sucker for a good ole country church, how about you? On both sides of the church small shops outline another green courtyard.
These shops dive deeper into each area outside of home that Joanna is passionate about. Retro plants shop, clothing shop, leather shop, bath and body shop, book store, men’s specific store. I personally loved the clothing and plant shops. I have always loved Joanna’s fashion style. It is minimalistic at it’s finest. There were many evergreen items to swoon over. I got an adorable white sweater with puff’d sleeves and black t-shirt dress. I can NOT wait to wear them!
The retro plant shop was adorable. I loved that all the plants had name tags. Tilley felt special that one of the plants shared her name.
Magnolia Home
Then there was Magnolia Home in the back corner. This was a deep concentration into furniture, bedding, and tableware. Beautiful pieces. The only store that I felt was more on the pricey side, but the pieces warranted the high price range. You would be paying for quality work.
Takeaway
If you are a home décor junkie, you need to put Magnolia Market on your bucket list. I fall into this category. My travel companions did not, but they still enjoyed the grounds and had a good time while waiting on me to complete my excursion into every nook and cranky the place had to offer, haha. Bless them!
