Starting to print your own invitations and party supplies, but not sure what you will need. Find out what weight paper is best, which envelopes you should get, and much more below. Get the supplies needed for party printables in a matter of minutes.
Paper
For invitations I use 110lb Cardstock. However, you need a printer that loads from the back to print this heavy.
For most jobs 60lb – 80lb cardstock will do the trick. Especially for favors, signs, and games. Just make sure it is cardstock and not index or regular printing paper. Check out some good affordable options here.
Envelopes
Invitations are typically 5 x 7″ or 7 x 5″ so invest in a box of “self adhesive” envelopes to have on hand when it’s time to send out invitations!
Licking envelopes, thankfully, is a thing of the past! See the ones I use here.
Cutting Board
With Corjl or any other editing template software, you will be given an option to include trim marks…do this! Takes the guess work right out.
Invest in a middle of the line cutting board to have at home. I have had the finger blade and swing blade, both will get the job done but you can move faster with the swing blade! Similar to this one.
Hole Punch
We all know what the typical office hole puncher looks like, right?! Not what I’m referring to here. You can buy larger ones…
2″, 2.5″. 3″. See here.
These are great to have on hand for your circle crafts like cupcake toppers or round tags. No one wants to sit around and cut circles by hand…trust me been there done that!
Twine and Clips
Honestly, twine is always necessary. I make sure to take it with me on any party adventure. Along with scissors and tape…party emergency kit 101.
Twine and clips come in handy for hanging banners, signs, and decorations.
The little clips can be aggravating and easily breakable. So make sure to have extra on hand and be patient with the little guys. Great options here.
Takeaway
That’s really it! This new way of printing your own invites really takes a lot of time and stress out for everyone involved. You just have to dive into it. Once you figure it out the first time. Then it will be smooth sailing! Please shoot me a message if you have any further questions on supplies or anything else regarding party printables. I’m happy to help.
